Your Development

Here at Lloyds TSB, we believe that continued learning and development are fundamentally important to the success of both the employee and the organisation, and this applies to everyone - from directors to graduates.

Wherever you're headed, your journey will begin with an exhilarating, week-long induction. Much more than just a warm welcome to the business, it's an opportunity to hear from guest speakers, dine with key people such as influential members of our Executive Team and senior business leaders, and to establish those all important professional contacts across the business. It's all about learning how to be an exceptional business leader from the people who already are, and realising you're an important part of the business before your programme even begins.

During the programme, several people will be on hand to support your path to success, including:

  • Your line manager for each placement who will continually review your performance and development
  • An experienced graduate 'buddy' who's always available with advice
  • A mentor, who will support and encourage you and help you plan ahead
  • An Emerging Talent Manager who will work with you to find the placements that are most suitable to you

There's also our pioneering, University for Lloyds TSB (UfLTSB) to ensure your learning journey continues as long as you want it to. This is one of the largest corporate universities in Europe and is effectively like having all of your tutors and courses online. Intended to keep you up to speed with all developments in the financial world - it's always available for you to access, no matter what direction your career may take with us. It will cost you nothing, and it's all just a click away.

There's more. However you choose to join us, and whichever programme you're on, we'll fully fund, support and encourage you to add yet another string to your bow in the form of relevant qualifications. We'll expect you to take the lead on your own development, but we're here to give you information, direction and guidance. In short, if you're good, we'll make sure you reach an even higher level.

Our ambitions for your ongoing success are as great as your own, and it is when the Graduate Leadership Programme finishes that your career journey really gets going. Regular performance reviews will provide you with the opportunity to take part in talent management initiatives, alongside leadership and specialist skills development. During these, you will receive constant support and feedback, and they will enable you to maximise your talents, and take you as high, and as far, as you could want to go.
