Who we are
Through the contribution of our specialist teams, Group Operations forms the backbone that supports every aspect of our business. Here, our people work quickly and efficiently through processes and systems, mostly behind the scenes, to enable the high level of service delivery our customers have come to know and trust. We’re focused mainly on UK Retail Banking, but our work also supports Commercial Banking, Insurance Divisions and Scottish Widows.
Given our size and scale, the environment can often be challenging and complex but it’s also one that recognises success and is highly rewarding.
What we do
As you can imagine, Group Operations has a wide range of areas and all kinds of people with different skills and levels of experience:
In Collections, our teams negotiate positive outcomes for customers with accounts arrears, helping us to maintain strong customer relationships throughout.
In Fraud Prevention, our people are trained and focused in detecting fraudulent applications.
The Complaints Handling team take an expert, informed approach to resolving complaints that have been escalated to the team, ensuring we deliver a consistent and quality service to our customers.
Our Customer Service Advisors work across the business to assist customers with their banking needs and any queries they may have.

Group IT
Who we are

Our IT enables us to tailor our offering to the diverse needs of the business and our customers. It allows us to deliver the right solutions, on time, every time.
Group IT builds, supports and maintains the massive technology and IT infrastructure that drives 80% of our IT services and projects. Our role is critical to the business, underpinning every aspect of our operations and giving us a strong foundation.
And in this highly competitive market place, where standing still is not an option, we are far from complacent. We are continuously looking ahead to ensure our focus is closely aligned to the business, providing faster technology solutions and passing these benefits onto our customers.
